What is so special about high-speed processing?

By using a high-speed internet connection credit cards funds are verified immediately before a wash is even given. Customers of the carwash enjoy the speed in which their transactions are processed which maximizes wash time and increases throughput. Carwash owners enjoy the time- savings of high-speed processing by eliminating the need to process a nightly or weekly batch as well as viewing real-time credit card processing data online through a web-interface. Banks like high-speed processing because it verifies funds immediately and greatly reduces charge-backs which consequently means better rates can be offered.

How does high-speed processing work?

As mentioned earlier, WashCard takes advantage of a broadband* internet connection on site to immediately clear transactions. When a customer swipes a credit card through the reader the credit card ‘track data’ is captured and sent out to the Gateway Processor via encrypted (SSL) communication through the Internet. In what only takes a few seconds the Gateway Processor has contacted the merchant bank and either received a Approval code or a Decline code. The approval is passed back to the WashCard system onsite and the purchase is authorized and the service is activated through the WashCard electronics.

*Broadband Internet: A high- speed internet connection, commonly DSL or Cable Modem.
