What are other WashCard customers doing to target charities or fundraisers?
- Effectively market to organizations
- Simplify the administration through automation
- Detailed reporting lets you it was a success
Promotion #1: The gift that keeps on giving - Ongoing Fundraising
For the Smith family carwash they like to be very involved in their local community. They’ve always said that a small business that supports their community will in-turn be supported BY their community.
Using the WashCard System the Smith family was able to set-up a special ‘Organization’ account within their Business Management Center. And then added 300 new WashCards into the system and flagged them under an organization account for their location Youth Group at the church down the street. The cards were then sold to friends, family members, and the church congregation at a discount.
The deal the Smith’s had made with the youth group was that they could promote that 5% of EVERY dollar spent on WashCard recharges would go back to the Youth Group. After the first year that would increase to 10% of every dollar made in recharges would go back to the Youth Group. After the second full year that amount would climb to 20% and remain as long as people kept their WashCard and kept recharging their card.
This was a HUGE success and continues to maintain a loyal customer base that is motivated to support the Smith family’s carwash.
Promotion #2: Free Carwash at the wash, not the parking lot.
Alex was tired of having what would have been a great weekend of business ruined by the various organizations that ran free charity car washes across the street in parking lot of the grocery store.
Alex was able to turn things to his advantage once he realized that he could find a win-win situation by leveraging his WashCard System.
Charity washes are now run out of two of Alex’s self service bays which are run all-day long by the organizers and participants. Each supervisor is given an in-house WashCard that activates the wash equipment and has the side benefit of giving Alex a full accounting of how much in washing he could write off on his taxes as a charitable donation.
Alex also knew that he would want to gain exposure out of the deal, so he told the organization that they could offer the following promotion; “Donate $5.00 or more to the charity and walk away with a FREE $5.00 Gift Card”.
Why give away the WashCard?
The WashCard is programmed to not even work unless it is registered on the Internet through the Virtual Storefront. So now that free wash gets valuable customer contact information
The second bonus is that all of those $5.00 cards that were given away are assigned to the organization group for the charity. So between 5%-10% of all future recharge value goes BACK to that organization for as long as the cards are in use. So now Alex gains NEW customers that have a reason to use his carwash over the competition in town other than needing a clean car or convenience.
